Julep: October 2014 box + coupon + Julep review

Procrastinating from studying for my biochem midterm by catching up on all my Julep box reviews. Time well spent, if you ask me. Also, this is my last Julep box and I’ll be including some of my thoughts about the subscription at the bottom. TL;DR: it’s not worth it.

Julep: Bombshell and It Girl Welcome Boxes + coupon

This post contains referral links.

So I never ended up posting my thoughts for my first Julep welcome box… mainly because I decided to cancel my subscription right after I tried them out (I didn’t think the subscription was worth the $19.99 a month) because I didn’t like the formulas of either one. The subscription is now $24.99 a month (cheaper with a longer subscription) which is quite pricey for 2-3 polishes or 2-3 beauty items a month, imo.

Scroll all the way to the bottom if you want details about the coupon code.

Free welcome box (just pay shipping).

My Taiwan skincare haul

Did a little bit of research before heading to Taiwan on what skincare items would be good to look for while in Asia. I mainly consulted the “Asian Beauty” subreddit and a bit of Googling. Tammy also sent me a list written by our good friend. So I had a general idea of what I wanted to look for.

Here’s a photo of part of (half of my haul consists of boxes of masks so you’re not missing much) my haul all laid out under incandescent light:

Swatched: Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner and Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

This post contains affiliate links.

These are two of things I was looking to buy during Sephora’s Spring’s Hottest Ticket event aka 15% off your order (see if you qualify and what code you should use here). I couldn’t find swatches of Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Emerald and Olive (the colors I was interested in buying), and I also couldn’t find a decent swatch of Anastasia Beverly Hills’s Brow Wiz in Granite.

So when my mom wanted to go to the mall, I took it upon myself to run over to Sephora and swatch these two products in various colors on my arm. Click on photos to enlarge them.
